Error: Candidate record with the same entering year already exists

Note: As of July 9, 2018, Blackbaud's School Management solutions (which include Core, onBoard, onCampus, onMessage, and onRecord) are utilizing a new top level navigation. This primarily affects users performing administrative tasks-constituent navigation for most parents, students, faculty, and alumni will remain the same.

This error message occurs when trying to re-activate a candidate who already has a candidate record with the same entering year. 
This error message indicates that there is a Candidate record with the same entering year already exists.

An error has occurred while processing your request.

This error has been reported and will be resolved as soon as possible.

When referencing this error please use ERROR ID: bbfaf26d-86a6-491a-87e7-7eff5f222d33.

To verify this:
  1. Go to onBoard > People Finder
  2. Type in the name of the candidate
  3. In the Entering Year drop down there will be two of the same entering years
  4. To fix this, contact Support and ask for a data fix. The data team will remove the duplicate entering year associated with the candidate record. 

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Go to onBoard
  2. Select Candidate > Reapply
  3. Select the radio button Re-Activate
  4. Choose the Role and Entering Year
  5. Type the last name of the user
  6. Select Next
  7. Mark the candidate name
  8. Save & Exit
