Error: An unknown error occurred during the request - when validating all addresses in a constituent update batch

When users validate all addresses in a Constituent Update batch they receive "Error: An unknown error occurred during the request. This could indicate a request to an invalid endpoint or problem with the web server configuration."
This error occurs for clients that use QAS (not Satori) for Address Validation.  While we provide endpoints that allow you to use other address validation services like QAS, we do not support or test address validation using QAS.  The solution is to break up the address validation file into smaller groups of records such as 75 records per batch.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Go to Batch Entry
  2.  Open Constituent update Batch
  3. Select Validate All Addresses
  4. Receive Error

Environment

 Blackbaud CRM
 4.0
 4.0.155.25
