To be able to use double blocks successfully:
  • the block to be used as a double must have the Double type.
  • the meeting times have to be consistent with the Double block type.
  • the schedule set must include that Double block.
Using the above example where D (double block) overlaps B & C, the meeting time for D should fall within the range of times when B & C meet. B has a meeting time of 8:15 - 9:00, C has a meeting time of 9:05 - 10:00. D could have a meeting time of 8:55 - 10:00.
Note: However, despite the school’s best efforts, they may find that their schedule may not lend itself to the proper use of the Double block.
