In order to pull certain grade levels in a list, you must filter for the grade level as well as the school year. Otherwise, the system thinks you're trying to pull students who have ever had that grade level.

To add the filter of School Year to a community smart group list, navigate to:
  1. The appropriate community group roster
  2. Manage
  3. Edit Smart Group List
  4. Choose the appropriate Topic. For example, if you are looking for Parents of Students in a certain grade level, select parents of Registered Students
  5. Add the Filters of:
Grade Level Equals and then the grade level you are looking for.
School Year Level Equals the year you want this information for.
