I get an error using Charity Check in GIFTS

It has been recently discovered that even though Charity Check credentials have been entered in GIFTS or GIFTS Alta and you have subscriptions to the correct GuideStar services (see below), the Tax Status Lookup and Verify features are not pulling data from GuideStar.

The issue is causing Tax Status Lookup and Verify features to use MicroEdge’s hosted IRS data instead of GuideStar’s Charity Check database.

We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.
