If you select to rejoin a previous joint membership and then change that selection to renew, it adds the joint member to the membership transaction each time that you select something different. ie- you would see the primary member name and then the secondary member would be listed multiple time. The system does not allow you to select the member cards button in the batch to edit the members listed. It just gives you an error that you cannot have the same member on the membership more than once.
This has been resolved. Please download and install the latest Service Pack which contains all fixes from previous patches. If you are running an older version, download and install the latest version and then the patch.
Steps to Duplicate
1. Create two memberships (one should be lapsed and one active) on a constituent ensuring both memberships have multiple members 2. Create a new Membership Dues Batch 3. Select the constituent from constituent 1 4. Select the option to rejoin the membership that is lapsed 5. Notice in the membership information window at the bottom the additional member is added. This is ok. 6. Change the Paying for option from Rejoin to Renew the other membership on the constituent record 7. Notice in the membership information window at the bottom the additional member is now listed twice. 8. Try to remove one of the duplicate names for additional members by selecting the Dues tab and then Members and Cards 9. You will get the following error: Please do not add a constituent more than once to the membership
