Manually Open Cash Drawers
  1. Go to Sales and click No sale/open cash drawer
  2. In the window that pops up, select a reason in the Reason drop-down                                              User-added image
  3. Add any comments if needed and click Save
Count Initial Cash​
  1. Go to Sales and click Count initial cash
  2. In the window that pops up, enter the current amount in your cash drawer in the Starting Balance field
  3. If needed, click the calculator to open the Cash calculator screen and quickly add the cash drawer amounts  User-added image
  4. In the Cash calculator window use the Currency, Quantity, and Value columns to calculate the amount of cash and coins in the drawer. In the Quantity column, you can enter the amount for each type of cash and coins.   5. In the Reference field, enter any details about the starting balance if needed
  6. Click Save
Close Drawer
  1. Go to Sales and click Close drawer. This brings up the Close Drawer Screen, where all cash and check in the user's drawer are counted and entered. Note: Credit card payments will pull into the drawer automatically  User-added image
  2. In the Reference field, enter any additional information if needed
  3. Under Cash in drawer, enter the number of cash and coin counted from the drawer to calculate the amount in the drawer as you did with the Count Initial Cash process
  4. If you prefer not to use the Cash calculator, you may hide it and enter the total amount of cash in your drawer in to the Cash total field. To hide the calculator, click Hide calculator
  5. Under Checks in drawer, enter the number of checks and the total amount of the checks in the drawer
  6. On the right side of the screen, the Total cash field displays the total amount of both cash and coins. The Starting balance field displays the initial cash amount that was added using the Count initial cash task in Sales. The Cash for deposit field displays the total cash minus the starting balance
  7. Under Other payments, other types of payment transactions that were made for the drawer are displayed. The payment method, number of transactions and transaction total appear for each transaction.   8. Once the checks and cash have been entered, click Save
  9. Click Yes to the prompt to Submit the drawer. If you do not want to submit the closed drawer, click No. The Closed Drawer page appears and the Closed Drawer report is displayed for you to review. This report shows the cash drawer amount entered on the Close drawer screen, as well as the number of checks and other payment transactions based on your sales orders
  10. To view payment and refund details on the report, check the Transaction details box and click View report
    1. If the report is correct, under Tasks, click Submit closed drawer and click Yes when prompted to submit the closed drawer to close your shift and submit the report for supervisor approval
    2. If the report is incorrect, under Tasks, click Edit closed drawer to access the Close drawer screen again and edit the information you previously entered. Once you correct the information, click Save and submit the report for approval                               User-added image
