Error: Technical Difficulties - when subscribing constituent to Interest

This usually indicates that the constituent is not properly opted-in to accept emails. User's may experience the following error message when attempting to subscribe a constituent to an interest (after clicking the save button): "Technical Difficulties We are currently experiencing problems servicing your request. Please send us information that you think might be helpful. Thank you!"
In order to resolve this, you will need to:
  1. Edit the constituent record by clicking "Edit Constituent Profile" while under the Profile tab
  2. Un-mark the "Accept Email" checkbox
  3. Re-mark the "Accept Email" checkbox
  4. Click Save
You can now re-attempt to subscribe the user to the interest.
