My network drives are not visible when I use a Hosted application through a virtual desktop

Your network drives may not be visible when working in your application hosted by Blackbaud Hosting Services when you have already enabled network drive access and you are accessing your application through a Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI, Citrix Desktop, Remote Desktop Services, Terminal Services).  This happens because the Citrix Receiver is configured for use on computers with a full desktop.  The Citrix Receiver settings can be changed to allow network drives access in these "pass-through" sessions.
Please contact the appropriate software vendor or IT professional for assistance with this process or issue which is beyond Blackbaud's scope of support.

Note: Incorrect changes to registry settings can cause serious system problems that may be irreversible without reinstallation of the operating system. You must back up your registry before making any registry changes. We are not responsible for damage resulting from incorrect use of the Registry Editor.
  1. Open the Windows Registry Editor.
  2. Navigate to one of the following registry keys:
    • For 32 bit machines:
      • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Citrix\ICA Client\Engine\Configuration\Advanced\Modules\ClientDrive
    • For 64 bit machines:
      • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Citrix\ICA Client\Engine\Configuration\Advanced\Modules\ClientDrive
  3. Create the following registry value, or change the value if it already exists:
    • Value name: NativeDriveMapping
    • Type: REG_SZ
    • Value: True
