Data may be populating in the incorrect field. When entering a large number of the same accounts, or when you receive an online donation, you may see that the phone number was filled into a salutation field.
This is when the Google Chrome browser’s Auto Fill feature is being used. Though the Auto Fill feature is nice to have when filling out name and address information and is popular with most Chrome users, the fields may not always map to the correct field.
We advise to always double check where the information is being fielded, as well as manually correcting any incorrect fielding for online transactions that come through. Clearing the browser’s cache can also help this incorrect auto fill.
