Outlining the steps to adjust a soft credit amount in batch if it is larger than the hard credit amount for a gift.
Complete the following steps to adjust the soft credit.
1. On the Batch Detail Entry screen, enter "AD" for adjustment in the Transaction Type field.
2. Enter the Account ID for the employee’s account.
3. TA displays the Transactions window with each transaction the account has made. Click the <Zoom> button to the left of the gift, pledge, or pledge payment for which the soft credit was awarded (i.e., the transaction for which you entered the matching gift information).
4. Zoom in on the MG field and adjust the match amount.
