Users may receive this error when trying to delete billing cycles if there are records associated it. Billing cycles are associated with Products and Billing Items, Bill Codes, Application Restrictions. You will need to ensure that none of these are associated with the Billing Cycle before deleting.
Try the following steps until you are able to delete the Billing Cycle:
Remove all Products and Billing Items that are associated with the Billing Cycle 1. Go to Configuration > Products and Billing Items. 2. Select the Filters Tab. 3. In the Valid Dates field select the billing cycle that you are trying to delete. 4. Delete the Product and Billing Item by Highlighting it and selecting Delete at the Top of the Page.
Remove all associated Bill Codes from Student Records 1. Create a New Record Query. 2. Select the Criteria Tab. 3. Expand Bill Codes > Start Date > Enter the start Date of the Billing Cycle. 4. Select the Output Tab > Expand Record > First Name, Last Name. 5. Expand Bill Codes > Bill Code, Description, Start Date and End Date. 6. Use the query to open the student records and remove the Bill Code from the Bill Codes tab.
Remove any restrictions that are associated with the Billing Cycle 1. Go to Configuration > Application Restrictions. 2. In the Show restrictions valid as of: drop down, select the Billing Cycle that you are trying to delete. 3. Delete all listed application restrictions.
