To give a non-Platform Manager access to view Contact Cards, first you will need to clone the Friend Role:
  1. From the drop-down menu in the upper, right-hand corner, select Core.
  2. Click Users / Access > Profile.
  3. Click Manage Roles.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Title the New Role.
  6. Click the Radio Button next to Friend.
  7. Do not select any Tasks.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Select Users you want to give the Role to.
  10. Click Save & Exit.
  
Then, give Profile Publish access from the role you wish to display to the Cloned Friend role ("New Role Name"):
  1. While in Core, click Settings > Profile.
  2. Click Profile Publish Access.
  3. Select the Role in the dropdown menu of the Role you want to display to the newly created role. For example, select Teacher in the dropdown menu if you wish to give your Cloned Friend role access to Teacher Contact Card information.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Select the Publish To checkbox for the New Role Name.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Click the Teacher to "New Role Name" underlined link.
  8. Click Edit.
  9. Select the Fields you would like the User to be able to see.
  10. Click Save and Confirm.
  11. Click Confirm.

Finally, give the "New Role Name" access to the Directory or Directories:
  1. In Core, click Settings > Directories.
  2. Click Edit next to the Directory (for example Faculty/Staff).
  3. Click Access, Expand Friend, and select the "New Role Name".
  4. Click Save.
Note: This will not change Users that have the Include my Name but no other information about me option selected to be viewable. Those Users will still only be viewable through a Platform Manager.
