Register link displays error after clicking on link in message sent through membership renewal emails

When sending the link to register for an online account through a membership renewal in Altru, you may find that the link in the email received leads to an error and does not work. 
This issue has been resolved. If you experience this error, please Chat with Support to provide the exact steps that were taken.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. From Marketing and communications, select Email marketing
  2. Click add Membership email
  3. Select an export definition
  4. In the email. click the link icon
  5. Select special page, select User registration page and select Webforms User Registration Page from the dropdowns
  6. Also add the privacy and preference special page links as they are required
  7. Include this new email in your membership renewal process
  8. See that the link received does not work
