General ODBC Error: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver] Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'MERGE', Native error: 156 - when merging records

Users may experience this error message when selecting Preview when trying to merge records when using a saved Parameter.

We are currently evaluating this issue. In the meantime, try the steps below:

 

To avoid error, Create a brand new parameter (Do not save)

Note: Using a saved parameter will cause the error to occur again. The parameter must be brand new and not a saved parameter

 

OR

Toggle Specific Records to Specified Criteria and then toggle back to Specific Records when merging records

 

Steps to Duplicate

1. Go to Administration > Merge Records.
2. Select Create Merge Records parameter files based on the decisions made.
3. Select New.
4. In the general tab, in the Merge using field, select Specific Records.
5. Save and close.
6. Re-open the parameter set.
7. Select Preview.
