The first reason we see this would be a custom template pulling in custom fields.

Another issue is that the totals don't match what was entered on the batch details page, or the gifts entered not matching what was entered on the details page.

Finally another is a timeout when the batch is trying to commit, and while the task completes the status is not updated

You can try to commit the Batch once more, if the issue persists the workaround is below:
  1. Confirm the gifts were created for each batch row.
  2. Manually change the status on the Batch details page to "Committed".
