The email opt in/out feature works differently depending on whether the user is logged in or out, when they submitted the alert.
For example, if a new user (who does NOT have a record in Constituent360) submits the alert, their Accept Email field will update based on the checkbox value.
If an existing constituent submits the alert, and they're currently opted OUT of receiving email, their Accept Email field will only change if their are logged in at the time of submitting the alert. If they are not logged in, and submit the alert, requesting to be opted in, this will NOT affect their constituent record.
This is expected behavior, so that Luminate Online can verify that the logged in user is the one initiating the record change, rather than an anonymous user using the same email address.
