When reviewing the results of a query, you may wish to manually remove a handful of accounts from the final results. Although a compound query can be used to subtract one query from another, this requires creating an additional query that contains the accounts you'd like to remove, and then a compound query to do the subtraction.
Instead of using a compound query, we can instead convert the original query into a Custom Account Query, a special type of query that allows for the manual removal (or addition) of accounts.
1. Click Queries in the menu 2. Click Manage Queries 3. Click the category you stored your query under 4. Click the name of your query to open 5. Next to the Save And button on the left, set the drop down menu to 'Create a custom account query' 6. Click Save And 7. eTapestry will resave your original query and create a copy of it in Custom Account Query format 8. On the 'Create a New Custom Account Query' screen, assign a Name to the query at the top of the page 9. Under the Accounts to Include section at the bottom, check off the box next to the account(s) you'd like to remove:
10. Once finished with checking off accounts for remove, click Remove Accounts button 11. The accounts have now been removed from the original list; click Save And to save your changes
Once the Custom Account Query has been saved, it can be used for any other purpose just as any other query can. For example, it can be used to send a mass email, run a report, etc...
