Secure Payment Template Updater receiving connection errors

After running the Secure Payment Template Updater in Blackbaud Internet Solutions through Administration > Sites & Settings > Schedules tab, there are exceptions received.

Upon further review of the Event Viewer Logs on the Web Server, the following errors are repeating for multiple Payment Pages:

  1. The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.
  2. Unable to connect to the remote server.
  3. A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond ###.##.###.##:80
  4. Failed to render the page. Please check your part settings.

Additionally, when reviewing the BBIS TestConfig page, the following failure is received:

Blackbaud AppFx Service Last Schedule Run 93.75 FAILED

We recommend you walk through the following solutions/step to work toward a resolution, in the order listed:

  1. Error: Blackbaud AppFx Service Last Schedule Run FAILED - when viewing test configuration page
  2. The Last Scheduled Run test on a BBIS testconfig page fails
  3. Run a Fiddler Trace to track down the cause for the connection issue to resolve
  4. Check server Event Logs for further blocking/connection issue
