How to add a pledge payment to a manually processed pledge

When we enter a pledge into the database, we can set the payment schedule to either process automatically (the donor's credit card is automatically charged on the scheduled payment date), or manually. If the pledge is set to manually process, we need to enter the payment information and process the payment on the scheduled payment date.
  1. Click Accounts
  2. Click Find an Account
  3. Search for and click on the donor's name
  4. Click Journal
  5. Click the ellipses icon next to the Pledge that you'd like to apply payment to (the ellipses will only appear if there is an outstanding balance on the Pledge)
  6. Click Add Payment
  7. Enter the amount of the payment in the Received field
  8. Select the payment method from the drop down menu below the Gift Types heading
  9. Enter Gift Type Information
  10. Click Save And at the bottom of the screen
    1. Select Process Transaction from the drop down menu next to the Save And button if you'd like to charge the donor's credit card or process an EFT transaction
    2. Select Go to Journal from the drop down menu next to the Save And button if payment is made via cash, check, gift in-kind, real estate, stock, insurance, or bond
