Error: Data could not be saved when trying to add a attribute category

When trying to add a attribute category to CRM the following error appears: Data could not be saved.  An Error occurred before executing the process 'Query View Add Attribute Extension Business Process' : The attribute category cannot be deleted because it exists on one or more records. 
This occurs when an attribute category in use has been deleted. A data-specific script can be created to address this issue.  Contact support for more information.  

Steps to Duplicate

1. Navigate to Admin
2. Attribute Category
3. Add a attribute category
4. Choose any name, and any combination of Record type, attribute group, and data type.
5. See above error
