I receive 'Retrieving the COM class factory for component..failed' when launching Alta

I receive the following error when launching Alta: 

Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID failed due to the following error: Class not registered
When receiving this error, this indicates there is an issue with your megiftsbusiness.dll file. Your goal is to recreate that file. To do so please do the following:

1. Locate your megiftsbusiness.dll file on your workstation located at C:\Windows\SysWOW64\megiftsbusiness.dll
2. Change the extension of this file from megiftsbusiness.dll to megiftsbusiness.old so that Alta can no longer reference it. 
3. Navigate to your GIFTS Alta server and locate your setup directory
4. Right click setup.exe and click Run As Administrator to perform a reinstall of Alta (which will rewrite your megiftsbusiness.dll file)
5. At the completion of the installation, you will be able to sign into Alta without receiving the error
