Altru has two options to generate a report like this.

NOTE: These instructions are for organizations that identify their Board Members with a Constituency Code. If you identify Board Giving in a different way (a specific designation or revenue category), you may need to adjust these instructions for your organization's needs.

Option 1: Use a Selection in the Giving Detail Report
Altru's Giving Detail Report will allow you to filter the report on a selection of revenue. The Report will show you the constituent name, gift date, designations, and amount for donations, pledges, pledge payments, and recurring gifts received during the date range you specify in the report parameters
  1. Go to Revenue and under Reports, click Giving Detail
  2. In the report parameters, under Include, check the box for Selected records
    Selected Records Giving Detail
  3. Click the Search icon to search for a revenue selection. If you don't have a selection of revenue, click the Add button in the search screen.
  4. Choose to Add an ad-hoc query
  5. Select the source view of Revenue and click OK
  6. The New Ad-hoc Query screen will open. From the left column, expand Constituent, then highlight Constituencies. From the middle column, drag Constituency to Include Records Where. Set this to be equal to Board Member.
  7. (Optional) If you would only like to report on current Board Members, drag "Date to" to Include Records Where. Set this to be Blank. This will pull any Board Member that does not have an end date on their Board Member Constituency. Your final query might look similar to this:

  8. On the Set Save Options Tab, save this query so you can access it again. For example: Board Member Revenue.
  9. Click Save and Close
  10. The query selection should now be added to your report parameters:

  11. Adjust the other report parameters if needed. You have the option to filter on Designation, Appeal, and Date.
  12. Click View Report
Option 2: Build a Query for Board Member Revenue
If you need additional details not shown in the Giving Detail Report or would like to only see specific revenue types, you can also build a revenue query to use for reporting.
  1. Go to Analysis > Information Library
  2. Click Add a new Ad-hoc Query
  3. Select the source view of Revenue and click OK
  4. The New Ad-hoc Query screen will open. To filter your query to see only revenue from Board members, from the left column, expand Constituent, then highlight Constituencies. From the middle column, drag Constituency to Include Records Where. Set this to be equal to Board Member.
  5. (Optional) If you would only like to report on current Board Members, drag "Date to" to Include Records Where. Set this to be Blank. This will pull any Board Member that does not have an end date on their Board Member Constituency.
  6. (Optional) If you would like to filter your report on different applications, from the left column, highlight Application Details. From the middle column, drag Application to Include Records Where. Set this to be equal to or one of the applications you're looking for. For example: Donation, Membership, Event Registration, Pledge (pledge payment). For more information about applications and querying on contributed revenue, see our related solution: What query filters should I use to find contributed revenue?
  7. Next, you'll need to add details you'd like to see in your report. Here are some recommended fields:
    1. Revenue ID
    2. Transaction Type
    3. Reference
    4. Pledge/Grant Award Balance - This is the field for pledge balance in Altru
    5. Constituent\Name
    6. Constituent\Last/Organization/Group/Household Name (Last Name)
    7. Constituent\First Name
    8. Application Details\Application
    9. Application Details\Amount
    10. Application Details\Designation Amount - for donations
    11. Application Details\Membership Transaction\Action
    12. Application Details\Membership Transaction\Membership Level\Name
    13. Application Details\Event Registrations\Registrant\Event\Event Name
  8. Once your query is complete, go to the Set Save Options Tab and save your query so you can access it again.
Here is an example of what a final query might look like. This query pulls Donations (outright donations and pledges), Event Registrations, Recurring Gift Payments, and Membership Transactions:
