Phones and emails do not list in a Directory Report when specifying Phone and not including an Address Type

I want a list of phones and emails using the Constituent Directory (or Parent Directory or Grandparent Directory or Professional Directory or Alumni Class List) report. But nothing appears when I set it up to just print phones and emails.
We have evaluated this issue as a bug and we have determined it will not be addressed in the program in its current state.  In this case, we believe the risks and challenges outweigh the potential benefit of resolving this issue. We strive to select the most impactful changes and issues to address with each release to accelerate the rate at which we deliver new features while sustaining the highest level of quality for our customers.

To show only the phones/emails, navigate to the Address(s) tab of the affected report and select to include 'First address found' in Step 2 of address processing. This will ensure that the desired phone types are included in the final report.

Steps to Duplicate

In The Raiser's Edge 7.95 sample database:
1. Go to Reports > Profiles, Lists, and Directories
2. Double click on Constituent Directory ( or Parent Directory or Grandparent Directory or Professional Directory or Alumni Class List -- adjust steps as needed)
3. On the Ind Address tab:
  • Mark settings for first address
  • What would you like to print: Phone
  • Move Preferred address to left list
  • Mark settings for second address
  • What would you like to print: Phone
  • Move Preferred address to left list
4. On the Org Address tab:
  • Mark settings for first address
  • What would you like to print: Phone
  • Move Preferred address to left list
  • Mark settings for second address
  • What would you like to print: Phone
  • Move Preferred address to left list
5. Click Preview, and no or very few phones and emails appear.
6. Close Preview.
7. On the Ind Address tab:
  • Mark settings for first address
  • What would you like to print: Phone
  • Move Preferred address to right list
  • Mark settings for second address
  • What would you like to print: Phone
  • Move Preferred address to right list
8. On the Org Address tab:
  • Mark settings for first address
  • What would you like to print: Phone
  • Move Preferred address to right list
  • Mark settings for second address
  • What would you like to print: Phone
  • Move Preferred address to right list
9. Click Preview, and more phones now appear.
