First searches in CRM take significantly longer than subsequent searches

In CRM, the first search of the day, for every type of search, takes much longer than subsequent searches. This happens for every user and in each environment. For example, running an appeal search might take 30 seconds. The next appeal search you run will take a small fraction of that time.
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

Steps to Duplicate

1. Perform any search for the first time that day. This happens for each search that returns results, so the only criteria is that there are results and that you haven't run that search so far that day. 
2. Notice that the search takes a significant amount of time, generally between 30 seconds to a minute.
3. Close the search window.
4. Try that same search again.
5. Notice that it has taken significantly less time.
