At this time we cannot convert records to another type of record. We will also not be able to merge the individual record into the new organization record. Instead, we will want to create the new appropriate record, and delete or mark the old record as inactive.

To Create a New Record: 
  1. Navigate to Constituents
  2. Select Add an individual or Add an organization
  3. Enter the necessary information about the constituent or organization
  4. Save
Transfer any revenue on the incorrect record to the new record:
  1. From the incorrect record, Navigate to Revenue > Revenue History
  2. Select the hyperlinked Revenue Type to navigate to the Payment Record
  3. In the task bar on the left > Select Change Constituent On Payment > Search your new record

  1. Save
  2. Continue this process until all revenue has been transferred to the new record
Transfer any sales orders on the incorrect record to the new record:
  1. From the incorrect record, Navigate to Sales Orders
  2. Select the hyperlinked Order Number to navigate to the Sales Order
  3. In the task bar on the left > Select Change Patron on Order > Search your new record

  1. Save
  2. Continue this process until all sales orders have been transferred to the new record
Delete the Record:
  1. On the incorrect constituent record, Select Delete on the left in the task bar
  2. Select Yes
Occasionally, we will not be able to delete the constituent record due to registrations or revenue on the record. In this case we will want to mark the constituent record as inactive
  1. Navigate to the Personal Info Tab
  2. Select Mark Inactive > Choose a Reason
  3. Save
