I’m trying to decline some pending requests in GIFTS Online but keep getting an error message. “This Request is part of a two stage application process and may not be declined”. These requests were created from stage one applications, but I need to decline the request as the second stage will not be submitted. How can I decline the request(s)?
The error message received is seen when the user tries to decline the pending request that was created from the stage one. In order to resolve this, the stage one application must be declined, which will in turn decline the pending request. However, since GIFTS Online users do not currently have the capability to decline or roll historical applications back to pending, the GIFTS Online user must reach out to the Microedge Helpdesk. A quick call to 877.704.3343 or email to helpdesk@microedge com, and a member of the support team will be able to decline the stage 1 application, which will decline the pending request.
