Why can't I copy the Sample Checklist?

Note: As of July 9, 2018, Blackbaud’s School Management solutions (which include Core, onBoard, onCampus, onMessage, and onRecord) are utilizing a new top level navigation. This primarily affects users performing administrative tasks—constituent navigation for most parents, students, faculty, and alumni will remain the same.

Duplicate statuses for the checklist in the settings can cause this error. Deleting the duplicate statuses allows you to copy the sample checklist.
To fix this, navigate to: 

1. onBoard > Settings > Checklists > Statuses 
2. Mark the checkbox in the Delete column for the duplicate status that is not locked down (padlock icon) 
3. Click Save to delete the duplicate Statuses
