How to find duplicate accounts

One way to easily identify and merge duplicate accounts is to run the Standard Report called Duplicate Report, we've provided the steps below.

You can also check for duplicates from the Account Settings page of an account. To learn more, visit the Check for Possible Duplicate topic in Help.
  1. Click Reports
  2. Click eTapestry Standard Reports
  3. Under Account Reports, click Duplicate Report
  4. Select Base / All Constituents as your query (Note: If your database contains more than 25,000 accounts, you will need to create a smaller query. To learn more, visit the Duplicate Report topic in Help.)
  5. Select Display Results on Screen for your Report Format
  6. Click Submit
  7. View the paired accounts on the page and decide whether they should be merged or are not duplicate accounts
    • Not Duplicate Accounts – Clicking this will identify these as separate accounts, they will no longer show up on any Duplicate Reports in the future
    • Merge These Accounts - Clicking this will allow these accounts to be merged by selecting how the data in these accounts should be merged. Merge, Replace, or Ignore can be selected to determine what information will be present in the remaining account once they are merged.
