Import Selections stuck in a Pending Import status - unable to Delete


Users may find that they are unable to delete import selections. These Import selections are now stuck in a "Pending Import" status. When the user attempts to delete the Import Selections, the SQL server produces a Timeout  Error: Data could not be saved. Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. 
 
This issue was caused a custom field type. They were able to resolve the issue by using the TRIM formula in Excel to strip spaces in the field then delete the column out that was causing the problem.

Steps to Duplicate

1. Navigate to the Import Selections functional area
2. Filter on the Status column to show all "Pending Import" statues
3. Select the down chevron on one of the "Pending import" status import selections
4. Click Delete
5. Notice that the Loading... bar appears for exactly 2 minutes. Then the user receives the Error: Data could not be saved. Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.
