How to upgrade a pledge

When a donor would like to increase the amount of their pledge, we can update the existing pledge rather than creating a new one. We can select different information, such as Fund, Campaign, and Approach, for the upgraded segment.
  1. Click Accounts
  2. Click Find an Account
  3. Search for and click on the donor's name
  4. Click Journal
  5. Click on the Pledge
  6. Under Pledge Information, click Upgrade This Pledge
  7. Fill in the date and total amount of the upgrade
  8. Select a Fund
  9. Select a Campaign, Approach, and/or Letter if applicable
  10. Click Next
  11. Select a schedule option; the schedule at the bottom of this screen will show you what the pledge schedule will look like with the selected option
  12. Click Next
  13. Select any applicable User Defined Field; to copy these values on future payments toward the upgrade, mark Copy Pledge Defined Fields on Future Payments
  14. Click Next
  15. Click OK to confirm that you'd like to upgrade the pledge
