Inactive participants are receiving Coaching Emails

When the Participation Type is changed on an inactive registration, the participant will be re-added to the participation group, which makes them eligible to receive coaching emails.
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information. If the participation type has been changed while a record was marked inactive, you can follow the steps below to correct this:
  1. Navigate to Fundraising > select TeamRaiser
  2. Locate your TeamRaiser and click Manage
  3. Search for the inactive participant and click the name to view their record
  4. Click Make Active
  5. Click Confirm
  6. Click Make Inactive
  7. Click Confirm
The action of marking the registration as inactive will remove the user from the participation groups and they will no longer receive coaching emails.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Register for a TeamRaiser under a Participation Type
  2. Make your registration inactive. You are removed from the Participation Type
  3. Change the participation type on the inactive registration
  4. The participant will be added to the participation group
