Error: Scanned tax declaration documents exist for the source constituent when merging constituents (UK only)

Scanned tax declaration documents exist for the source constituent error can occur when merging constituent records, when a Blackbaud Gift Aid scanned image exists on the From constituent specified by the merge.
If the Target / To constituent does not have Blackbaud Gift Aid scanned images then you may decide to switch the constituents when merging.

Alternatively -
  1. Note the constituent ID of the From / source constituent
  2. Note the constituent ID of the To / target constituent
  3. Note the constituent name
  4. Contact us via Chat Support

For example:
knowledgebase solution: 105800
Constituent: Joe Bloggs

Please move Blackbaud Gift Aid scanned imaged from constituent ID 123456 to constituent ID 987654 so that the constituents can be merged.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Select the option to merge constituents, either via one of the duplicate constituent records or using the Merge Constituent option in Admin
  2. The error occurs when Blackbaud Gift Aid optional module present and the From / source constituent of the merge has one or more BBGA scanned images.
