Step 1: Build a query of previous members
  1. Select the Analysis tab
  2. Click Information Library 
  3. Click Ad-hoc query > Select the Membership source view
  4. From the left hand side, highlight the Membership Transactions node. 
  5. From the middle field, drag Action into include records where. Set the criteria equal to "One of" and choose every option except "Join"
  6. From the middle field, drag Transaction Date into include records where. Set this to "Between" a date range before the date range from which you want the list of new members
  7. Click Set Save Options
  8. Mark the box "Create a Selection?", and then mark the radio button for dynamic selection. Also mark the box 'Show this selection in Query designer"
  9. Name your query
  10. Save and Close
Step 2: Build a query of New members
  1. Repeat steps 1-4 above
  2. From the middle field, drag Action into include records where. Set the criteria equal to "Join"
  3. From the middle field, drag Transaction Date into include records where. Set this to "Between" the date range from which you want the list of new members
  4. From the left hand side, highlight the Selections folder
  5. From the middle field find and drag the query we built in Step 1 above into include records where. Set the criteria as "Equal to No"
  6. From the left hand side expand the members node, then highlight the constituent node.
  7. From the middle field, drag any contact information you may want for your members in question
  8. Expand the constituent node to find any additional contact information definitions
  9. Click Set Save options. Name your query
  10. Save and close
