- Navigate to Administration, then click on Smart Fields
- Click Add
- Select Constituent Revenue Application Amounts and click OK
- On the General Tab, name your Smart field and add a description if you would like.
- On the Parameters Tab:
- Under Value to Return, select Latest Application Amount for the last gift or select First Application Amount for the First Gift.
- If you're looking for a true First Gift/Last Gift, we recommend leaving the date parameters blank, so you include all giving.
- Under Revenue types, check the revenue types you'd like to consider in this smart field.
- In the Transaction Type/Application Section choose the transaction/application types you would like to consider
- Refer to What Revenue and Transaction/Application types should I select when creating a smart field for assistance
- Click Save
- Once your Smart field is saved, find it from the list of Smart Fields in your database and click the hyperlinked name.
- In the top left hand corner under Tasks, click Start Process.
- Note: You can also set your smart field on a job schedule to process automatically by going to the Job schedules tab.
- Navigate to Analysis, then click on Information library
- Click drop down next to your query and select Edit. If your query is not created yet, select Add ad-hoc query. Select your source view, then click OK.
- In the left column, expand the Smart Fields folder and select your Smart Field. From the middle column, drag Value to Results fields to display.
- Note: To eliminate everyone with a $0.00 value, also add the Value to Include Records where and filter on “Greater than 0.00”
