In The Raiser's Edge Mail, Export, and Reports, there is not a means to connect a Batch itself. Uncommitted batch information cannot be used in the system. However once a batch is committed, then a query can group the records from that batch for use in The Raiser's Edge.

If a query is available that is seeing those records, then attach it to the task in The Raiser's Edge:
  1. Open the set-up.
  2. On the General tab, click on Include and then Selected Records.
  3. In the Query search, look up the desired query. Double click on it in the results to select it. The query name will now appear beside Include button.

If the records are still in batch and not committed, commit the batch. At the batch commit on the General tab, mark the options to Create a query of committed records and to Create control report to ensure that all records do commit.

For a gift batch that has been committed and no query was created, then create a new query for to group these records:
  1. From Batch, note the batch number.
  2. Then in Query, click on New Query in the upper left.
  3. Set type to Gift and format to Dynamic.
  4. Click OK.
  5. In the new Query, add a criteria filter on the Criteria tab of Gift information > Batch number equals [batch number]
  6. Click OK.
  7. In the upper left, click File > Save to name and save the query.
  8. Close the Query.
  9. Attach the Query to use (steps are above).

For a constituent or time sheet batch, a batch number is not added to records. However, these records can be grouped by Date Added, which is the date it was committed, and Added By, the user who committed the batch
  1. In Query, click on New Query in the upper left.
  2. Set type to Constituent and format to Dynamic.
  3. Click OK.
  4. In the new Query, add a criteria filter on the Criteria tab:
    • Constituent batch: Add Constituent information > Added by equals [user name of who committed the batch] AND Constituent information > Date Added equals [date committed]
    • Time Sheet batch: Add Volunteer > Time Sheets >  Added by equals [user name of who committed the batch] AND Volunteer > Time Sheets > Date Added equals [date committed]
  5. Click OK.
  6. In the upper left, click File > Save to name and save the query.
  7. Close the Query.
  8. Attach the Query in to use (steps are above).
