Incorrect results in Duplicate Constituent Management Tool with Luminate Aliases

When using the Duplicate Constituent Management Tool some results may appear to have no similarities. Some of the results have Luminate Online IDs in the Alias fields.
If your database is integrated with Luminate Online, the Luminate IDs are used in the Alias field. This can mean that similar Luminate IDs can make otherwise unique records appear in the Duplicate Constituent Management Tool. To resolve this:
  1. In The Raiser's Edge, navigate to Config > Business Rules > Duplicates
  2. Unmark "check for individuals" and "check for organizations" under Aliases
  3. Run the Duplicate Constituent Management Tool and analyze matches

Steps to Duplicate

  1. In The Raiser's Edge, navigate to Admin > Duplicate Constituent Management Tool
  2. Run a new search for Individuals
  3. Some results show no similarities and should not be seen as a possible match
