Note: As of July 9, 2018, Blackbaud’s School Management solutions (which include Core, onBoard, onCampus, onMessage, and onRecord) are utilizing a new top level navigation. This primarily affects users performing administrative tasks—constituent navigation for most parents, students, faculty, and alumni will remain the same. We appreciate your patience as we work to update our documentation. If you are seeing this message, the content of this solution is still being vetted for possible updates. Please refer to this mapping document if you need assistance finding a task in the new navigation.
The Keep Private check box can be found on a Candidate record through:
Select People Finder.
Search/select your Candidate.
Click the Record tab.
Click the yellow pencil/edit icon to the right of Candidate Information.
View/check/uncheck the Keep Private check box here.
The "Keep Private" is an internal admission field that someone from admissions would turn on when a candidate's application (and potential enrollment) needs to remain unknown. Two potential examples:
1. A celebrity is applying to your school, and they/their child needs their information kept private so it is not known.
2. Depending on a family situation or situation in general, a child might need to not even be publicly acknowledged as attending your school for their own well being.
This field has no functionality behind it and it will just function as a reminder/visual key for your admission team.
