Customers who use Blackbaud Merchant Services to process Pounds or Euros may notice that they are suddenly getting a high number of declined transactions with the Gateway Result of 'FRAUD'. This is caused by a generic email address being used for multiple transactions. For example, if you are processing transactions in the BBMS Web Portal and you enter a generic address such as firstname.lastname@example.org then eventually they will be flagged as potentially fraudulent. The email address field is used for fraud checking purposes and is considered to be a unique field.

The method you are using to process the transaction (Blackbaud Merchant Services Portal for example)
Your external IP Address
The generic email address you use
With the above information, we can request your organisation's external IP address to be whitelisted. Entering a unique email address rather than a generic email will also have success. Please note that the FRAUD decline code can also be down to genuinely potentially fraudulent transactions.
