Setup a department and item for customers:
  1. Create a department called Customer.
  2. Create an item for that customer:
            a) Enter the Customer ID as the Item Lookup Code
            b) Enter the customer's name as the description 
  1. When creating the label, use barcode 128A, which handles alphanumeric and 12 digits numbers.
  2. Set the POS station to prompt for the customer lookup.
  3. Scan the customer label to bring up the customer.
