Online App Initialization error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object when clicking on an application transaction in the NetCommunity plugin in Education Edge

A user may receive this error when clicking on an application form transaction in the NetCommunity plugin in Education Edge. If it is the only transaction left in the plugin and you then exit the plugin, attempting to open the plugin may result in the same error.
  1. Log in to the NetCommunity website
  2. Navigate to site explorer > forms
  3. Click the search tab
  4. Search for the submitted form that is in the plugin
  5. Click resubmit
  6. In the plugin Navigate back to unprocessed applications
  7. Process the application
