This User ID has already been used when checking out through NetCommunity estore

When users attempt to checkout of the NetCommunity estore using the options for creating a new user or using an existing user; clicking continue after entering the username and/or password may result in a message declaring the username is already in use.
We’re currently evaluating this issue for a fix in a future patch or service pack. 

Steps to Duplicate

  1. go to estore front page while not logged in
  2. add and item to the estore cart
  3. proceed to checkout
  4. Select option for I am a new user
  5. enter username
  6. click continue
  7. fill out shipping info and select option for this is same as billing info
  8. enter credit card information
  9. enter password and confirm password
  10. click continue
  11. notice form does not proceed
  12. click continue again
  13. receive message This User ID has already been used
  14. From step 4 select radio button for I am an existing user
  15. enter login information
  16. click continue
  17. observer no result
