Gift Amount merge field merges currency symbol is inconsistent

When donation forms are configured to use a Payment 2.0 part, the acknowledgement message configured on the Donation Form part is displayed in two places via the Combined Acknowledgements merge field.
in the Payment 2.0 part – in the email acknowledgement sent to the donor and on the confirmation screen after payment is submitted.

The Gift Amount merge field added to the acknowledgement message does not display the currency symbol in the email acknowledgement, but it does display the currency symbol on the confirmation screen.

If you add the currency symbol in front of the merge field so that it displays in the email acknowledgement, the confirmation screen displays 2 currency symbols.
We are currently evaluating this issue for a fix in a future service pack.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Design the confirmation screen - add combined Acknowledgements field.
  2. Design an acknowledgement email to send users after they check out - add combined Acknowledgements field.

Notice that the email has no currency symbol.
If you add the currency symbol in front of the merge field so that it displays in the email acknowledgement, the confirmation screen displays 2 currency symbols.
