Membership not connected to constituent in database

Users may notice that there is a back office membership payment in the database that is Applied to "N/A." When clicking on the N/A link, the user is taken to the constituent membership page, which cannot be loaded. Error: The section could not be loaded. Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index. However, under the membership, the constituent name is listed in the Name on Card field. When searching for this constituent in the database, there are no results returned. 
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. From membership payment, click on hyperlinked "N/A" under the Applied to field
  2. Note the error message after the constituent membership page loads: Error: The section could not be loaded. Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection
  3. Note that the constituent is listed in the Name on Card field under Membership cards. 
  4. Try searching for this constituent - they do not exist in the database.
