Error: The server principal NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM is not able to access the database [DatabaseName] under the current security context - when running database maintenance tasks in the Blackbaud Management Console and using SQL Server 2012 Express

When trying to run database maintenance tasks using the Blackbaud Management Console on a database that is attached to SQL Server 2012 Express you may receive an error that the task fails.  Clicking on View Backup History you may see the following error message:
Msg 916, Level 14, State 1, Server (InstanceName), Line 1. 
The server principal "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM" is not able to access the database [DatabaseName] under the current security context.
SQL Server 2012 Express is not supported with The Financial Edge or The Education Edge at this time.

Move to a supported version and edition of SQL Server by completing the following steps:
  1. Install a supported version of SQL Server 2012 or SQL Server 2014 Standard or Enterprise edition.
  2. Configure your new SQL Server instance for use with Blackbaud products.
  3. Detach your database(s) from SQL Server 2012 Express or SQL Server 2014 Express instance.
  4. Reattach your database(s) to the new instance you installed above.
