Error: This page contains the following errors: error on line 1 at column 4374: xmlParseCharRef: invalid xmlChar value 3 - when clicking the RSS button on a program

Your organization may use RSS feeds to keep employee's at the organization up to date on the latest events you have scheduled. When clicking the RSS button on a program's page, you may receive this error message. 
This error is caused by characters in the description of both the program and it's events that Altru does not recognize. To resolve this: 
  1. Select the Events tab > Click Program Search > Search for your program and double click it's name in the list. 
  2. On the left hand side uner Tasks click Edit program.
  3. Copy the full text of the program's description.
  4. Paste this text into notepad
  5. Remove any characters from the description that are not plain text. Copy the new text.
  6. Paste the new text into the program's description, replacing the old text. 
  7. Repeat Steps 1-6 for each event in the program. 

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Select the Events tab
  2. Click Program Search, find your program and double click it. 
  3. Click the orange RSS button above the event calendar.
  4. See error message.
