Date on preprinted receipts defaults to gift date, not current date

When using pre-printed receipts, you can insert fields into the custom message. One of these fields is for the date. Users are finding that it is defaulting to the date of the gift, rather than the date of the merge.
We are currently evaluating this issue and will update this article when we have more information. 

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Log into The Raiser's Edge.
  2. Navigate to Mail > Receipts.
  3. Open a saved pre-printed receipt or create a new one. Be sure to mark one per page.
  4. In Fields to include, include Preprinted Fields.Date and Gifts.Gift Date.
  5. Click Write Custom Message.
  6. Insert the date field and gift date field. 
  7. Click Ok ad Preview.
  8. The date and the gift date match.
