Constituent still receives mail even with mail preferences marked as Do Not Send

 A constituent with the mail preferences of Do Not Send still receives general correspondence 
from a correspondence list process.
We’re currently evaluating this issue for a fix in a future service pack.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Click the Analysis tab
  2. Click add an as-hoc query and select constituents
  3. Select the Constituent\LookupID is equal to any LookupID for a constituent
  4. Click Set Save Options and name it whatever you would like
  5. Click create a selection and click Create a dynamic selection and click save and close
  6. Click the Marketing and Communications tab
  7. Click Manage correspondence 
  8. Click Add
  9. Make the output format: Standard correspondence output
  10. For selected constituents search for the name of the selection that was made
  11. Click Constituent search and look up the Lookup ID that was selected in the selection
  12. Click the communications tab then click preferences
  13. Click add next to Mail Preferences
  14. For Mail type select General Correspondence.
  15. For selected Communication select correspondence process that was made
  16. Click Do not send and click save
  17. Navigate back to the Correspondence process and click the chevron next the name of the process and click start process
  18. Navigate back to the constituent record and click the Communications tab and notice they have received a general correspondence
