Error: Could not download transaction with ID "xxxxx". - when downloading a donation

After upgrading from 4.0 SP8 to SP9, donations submitted through BBIS by existing users who are logged in receive the following error message: "Could not download transaction with ID "xxxxx". The error was: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
Download and install the latest Service Pack which contains all fixes from previous patches. If you are running an older version, download and install the latest version and then the patch.  

Steps to Duplicate

After an upgrade from 4.0 SP8 to SP9

1. Login to BBIS with an account linked to a CRM record that contains a spouse record 
2. Access a page containing a donation through a form that has enabled the optional "include spouse fields" option enabled 
3. Submit a transaction with no spouse information included 
3. Login to CRM
4. Go to the Web functional area
5. Click Manage web transactions
6. Click the Failed Transactions tab
7. Notice the error message
