Custom Email alerts processes but does not give alert

When using Custom email alerts you may see the Datalist return results and the email alert process itself may process records but no alert is sent to the user expected to receive them. 
This is probably based on the SQL Server Database Mail Profile showing the incorrect numbers for the configuration environment. 

To check this:
1. Go to Admin > Email Alerts > Tasks (left hand corner) > click on Edit alert settings. 
2. This shows you the numbers associated with the SQL Server Database Mail Profile settings. 

These settings need to be checked by either Blackbaud Hosting, or if self-hosted, by the database server administrator to verify it is correct.
